About

Mike helps companies and their people tell better stories. His background includes executive roles in the Fortune 50, as well as roll-up-his-sleeves work with early stage startups.

He’s led global communications teams for high profile, culture shifting emerging businesses at IBM and Alcatel-Lucent (where he co-founded a global movement called Corporate Rebels United). He served as the first Vice President of Brand and Communications at Cloud Foundry Foundation. He built the corporate communications function for alternative cloud provider Linode.

Throughout his career, Mike has had the privilege of helping some of the biggest names in technology tell their stories: Dennis Ritchie, Turing Award recipient and creator of the software underpinning of most of the technology we use today; John Patrick, the IBM visionary behind Big Blue’s Next Generation Internet initiatives and leader of the team behind the first ibm.com; Chris Aker, founder of Linode and one of the cloud’s original pioneers; Rob Malda and Jeff Bates, the founders of Slashdot; and Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, the iconic duo at the heart of Atlassian.

Mike is also known to dabble in the photographic arts. His photographs have been featured in National Geographic “Your Shot” Editor’s Spotlight, Shutterbug Magazine, Hutchinson Tire catalog, PEZ Cycling, Digital SLR Magazine, RealWoman and Outer Banks Realty. Images he has created have been used by bands like The Cadillac Three and Barrage8, and the iconic Sound Kitchen recording studio. Mike also gives back, donating his photography skills to local organizations like the Central Bucks School District, Heritage Conservancy and CB Cares.

Oh, yeah, he also once stood on the Saturday Night Live stage with Chris Farley.
